Herbert Maxon Cook 1890 water color 54 x 57cm Cook, 1844-1928/1929, was a painter and draughtsman: born in Manchester; lived in London and latterly moved to Prestatyn, North Wales, where he painted coastal scenes, also worked Arran and Liverpool; exhibited widely including; the Royal Academy,Glasgow Institute, Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Society of Arts Birmingham and the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool.
